Ernest and Lee Gifts FAQ'S
Q. How are your shipping charges applied?
- A. Our shipping rates are included in the price of each item you order. Additional shipping options have been included for your convenience should you need to have your product sent in a hurry. If you do not choose to have your product rushed, you can expect delivery of your product by regular ground shipments which may take from 5 to 10 business days depending on your location. We ship mainly using Canada Post, Fedex, UPS, Canpar, and USPS. Please note that our payment and shipping policies
are designed for maintaining a level of security, service and low cost
which exceeds industry standards. At Ernest and Lee Gifts we believe in
safety, simplicity and service.
Q. How long does it take to process & ship orders?
- A. All orders received Tuesday thru Friday prior to 1:00
p.m. EST will be processed the same business day. Orders received on
Monday after 9:00 a.m. will be processed on Tuesday due to the high
volume incurred from the weekend. International orders may be delayed two business days.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
- A. Yes, we do ship internationally but mainly to Canada and the United States. We currently do not ship outside of North America.
Q. What is the delivery time for orders?
- A. Orders will be shipped from various locations depending
on the type of product that is being ordered. Regular ground shipments
take from 5 to 10 business days depending on your location.
Q. What about Sales Tax?
- A. Our order form will apply GST to all products purchased
in Canada and sales Tax to any order that is being shipped within
British Columbia, Canada. USA customer orders will have NO taxes
applied.
Q. Will I be charged duties & taxes?
- A. We must charge GST on all Canadian purchases. We are
located in British Columbia so there is provincial tax on orders made
within BC. For orders being delivered to the US, you *may* be charged
duties depending on what you order. Under the North American Free Trade
Agreement, you should not be charged duties on anything made in Canada
or the US.

- A. We have launched our website opening in the summer of 2008 but we have 30 years of previous experience in the retail gift industry.

Q. What are your hours of operation?
- A. Our hours of operation are: Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 05:00 PM Western Standard Time.
Q. Do you have a show room?
- A. Ernest and Lee Gifts does not have a showroom. In order to keep overhead low and merchandise costs even lower we have only an internet business with no show room.
Q. What is Your Returns Policy?

Q. Why do you want my email address?
- A. The purpose of taking your email address is so we can inform you of up in coming specials and when new products are added to the site . It also gives us another way to contact you if an item is out of stock or there has been a problem with payment.
Q. Is placing an order using my credit card safe and confidential?
- A. Yes it is completely safe. We use BeanStream Internet Commerce Incorporated as our e-commerce on our site. They are a Canadian company that is based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Beanstream provides payment, risk management and authentication services to more than 6000 businesses and organizations in Canada and the United States.
Q. What if an item I want to purchase is sold out?
- A. Unfortunately we cannot take any orders on sold out merchandise. We are not always sure how quick we will receive items from our own suppliers (it can sometimes take weeks) and do not want to keep you waiting on any order.
